I'm Cesar, a Product Designer obsessed with Design Systems and the invisible architecture that makes great products scale.

My story
01
The Origin

My path into design came through architecture — not the digital kind, but the structural obsession with how things hold together at scale. That instinct followed me into product design, and eventually led me to where I work best: building the systems that give products their backbone.

02
The Turning Point

The turning point was working on a lottery platform with no design foundation — broken handoffs, inconsistent UI, developers asking me to start from zero. Instead of patching, I rebuilt. That experience taught me that the real design problem isn't the interface — it's the architecture behind it. Since then, Design Ops has become my mission: being the bridge between designers and engineers, aligning libraries, enforcing consistency, and making sure every component decision is tied to a real outcome.

03
The Focus

Today, with AI giving everyone the ability to ship features fast, I believe the competitive edge is no longer functionality — it's personality and scalability. My focus is multi-brand design systems: architectures that let products scale across verticals without losing their identity.

04
The Method

I work in English across cultures and time zones, and I've learned that empathy is as much a design tool as Figma. I don't break what works — but when something is broken, I come in with a plan, a time estimate, and the conviction to rebuild it right.

"

Responsible, creative, and opinionated — in the best way. If you need someone who knows what they're talking about and has clear goals for the work, let's talk.

( + FAQ )

From FAQ Cesar, 9:41 AM

What’s your current setup?

Currently living in sunny Marseille, France 🇫🇷. I’m happily married here and obsessed with the local lifestyle, lots of sun, sea, and weekend hikes in the Calanques. It’s the perfect place to stay inspired. ☀️🌊

What’s your background?

I’m originally from Medellín, Colombia 🇨🇴, but I’ve been living and working in Europe for the last five years. I spent a significant part of that time in Malta, diving deep into the iGaming and Fintech industries 🌍🚀

I’ve worked with design files that are a total nightmare to navigate. How do you ensure your handoff doesn't slow the developers down?

me gusta esta Haha, I feel that pain! I treat Developers as my primary users. I don't just dump a screen and leave, I build a system. My Figma files are organized with clear status labels like "Ready for Dev" or "Future Idea", so nobody wastes time building the wrong version. Plus, I'm always around for a quick sync to tackle those weird edge cases that only pop up once you start coding. 🤝✨

I’m curious, are you open to new challenges right now?

Definitely. I’ve spent the last few years bridging the gap between European tech and Latin American drive. I’m a trilingual designer focused on leadership and complex systems. If you're looking for a global perspective, let's talk! 🌍✨
